McClease, who played both his high school and post-graduate basketball in Connecticut, will be staying close to home next year when he attends Southern Connecticut State University. A power guard that can really fill it up, McClease is a potent scorer both on and off the basketball. He has a good feel for pace and does a nice job of changing speeds to get to his spots, utilizing jab steps and shot fakes to create space. He’s a particularly tough cover in transition where he can score from all three levels and is exceptional as a spot up shooter. Defensively, he can guard up and down a position and is a good rebounder in space. He’s improved as much as any prospect in the region over the last two years and should be able to have a nice four-year career in the Northeast-10.
