Little has become a great player for Garfield Heights this year. Last year he was still trying to find his role and his game with a new team but this year he is thriving and hooping. He is an elite slasher and defender. He can get to the rack with ease. He is very quick and shifty. He gets defenders off balance and then attacks well. He is a strong guard who can create extra space for him. Not many if any defenders could stay in front of him. His length and lateral quickness make him a great on-ball defender.

Little is a lighting fast guard who can apply pressure on the rim and give opposing ball handlers trouble. Garfield Heights has a lot of defensive talent and Little is one of their most talented pieces on that end. Little had a strong weekend in Rock Hill with Wildcat Select and should have a productive senior season for one of the top teams in Ohio this winter. Expect low to mid major programs to stay active in recruiting Little this winter.

In an up-tempo system, Little can be very effective and played one of the best games I’ve seen from him on Thursday evening. Little had transition layup finishes with both hands, knocked down a corner spot-up 3-pointer and a mid-range pull-up jumper. As a distributor he made the simple read and got the ball in shooters and rollers hands quickly. Defensively, he competed by moving his feet and taking a charge. Low major programs that play a fast style should be recruiting Little as he fits the frantic style of play some HBCU programs run.

Little had some impressive moments this weekend generating rim pressure and speeding up the tempo of the game for All Ohio Red off the bench. A guard who needs to play in as fast of a tempo as possible, Little’s on ball defensive activity caused issues for the opposing guards and he was able to drive to the lane and either look to finish or assist teammates. Little finished 5/10 from the field and had 11 assists to just one turnover in the four games this weekend. A prospect with a clear flaw as a shooter, a college program will need to work around this but there’s enough Little brings to the table for me to recommend him to low major programs that play at a fast tempo.

My third viewing of Garfield Heights this season and Little had his best game by a considerable margin on Sunday. I thought Little did a great job of passing the ball ahead of the defense and pushing the pace for his teammates. Little also gets good pressure on the rim with his quickness and burst. Little led the game with five assists and was an efficient 4/5 from the floor. If this is the type of play we can expect from Little moving forward that would be huge for a Garfield Heights squad that’s one of the best in northeast Ohio.

One of the most athletic guards in the 2024 class, Little leaves a still stacked Saint Ignatius program for Garfield Heights who has reloaded around incoming freshman Marcus Johnson. Little is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands and will provide a spark for his team.
