Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a versatile player who impacts the game in multiple ways. I attack the rim well, but I am also comfortable playing with my back to the basket and scoring inside the paint. I rebound well on both ends of the floor. I also pass the ball well in transition and can kick out of the post to find open shooters. I am a team-first player who can adapt to different roles that help the team win.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I love to compete and win, but I am also the type of player who encourages my teammates by giving them high-fives and helping them off the floor. Off the court, I keep things loose in the locker room because I have a good sense of humor and like to crack jokes with my teammates. On the court, I bring energy and intensity, and do what it takes to help the team succeed.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in my church youth group, a member of the National Honor Society, and consistently make the honor roll while taking challenging honors and AP classes.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I volunteer with set-up and clean-up at my church for different activities and run the clock for the men's basketball league. I also give back to my community by serving as a group leader at basketball camps and officiating youth league games. These roles allow me to mentor young athletes. I take pride in leading by example and being someone my community can count on.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
My biggest challenge has been learning to manage honors and AP-level classes while still being committed to putting in extra work on my basketball game. There have been many nights when I am up late finishing homework after practices, games, or after busy weekends of travel from AAU tournaments. My challenging schedule has taught me how to work hard, stay organized, and make sacrifices.
What type of college are you looking for?
Academics are important to me, but I am not completely sure of what major I am interested in studying in college. I am strong in math and science and may pursue something in those fields.
