Donahue often flies under the radar when discussing the array of talent at Wood’s disposal, as the senior swingman has gradually worked his way up the program to earn his role as a valued starter and consistent contributor for the first time as a senior. Playing against several of his AAU teammates, he made the difference in the game on Friday night, as the sharpshooter scored all nine of his points on a trio of second-half 3s, none bigger than a confident spotup to break a 58-58 tie with under 30 seconds remaining. Donahue’s shooting ability combined with the big-game experience he’ll acquire over the course of the PCL gauntlet should make him a coveted small-college recruit throughout the winter, with scholarship-level attention in the realm of possibility should he opt to pursue a prep year.
