Coming off a season on the freshman and JV teams, McGuire has a chance to crack the varsity rotation this winter with a unique blend of size and skill. A bulkier forward, he’s a natural operator with the ball in his hands out to the perimeter, showing shotmaking touch and passing feel from each level of the floor. He plays with a natural flair that makes for a really fun watch when he has a matchup he’s able to exploit.If McGuire can continue to refine his conditioning and iron out a role on the defensive end, he could be an X-factor for Wood up front by the time the postseason rolls around.
