Doherty is one of the best sophomores in the state and will be a key player for a Lynnfield High School team that lost Grant Neal Grant Neal 6'4" | SG Suffield Academy | 2028 State New E but should be a contender to make major noise in the state tournament this season. The 6-foot-1 guard is a pretty special shooter for his age—he shot 38% from three for Middlesex Magic’s UA squad this spring and has a release that few kids his age have. He can catch-high keep-high, he can make shots off the dribble, and he’s a great movement shooter. Doherty is going to be a highly sought after prep school candidate this year and should improve as the year goes on.
