Velasco is a high motor forward who brought physicality and quick instincts on both ends of the floor. Proactive utilizing his wide reach contest and block shot attempts around the rim, he was a constant problem for opponents to score on. Effective stepping into jumpers off the catch, Velasco certainly adds another layer to the dominant 3A program. If space was take away, they were active swinging the ball, keeping it high at all times.

Velasco is a paint beast when it comes to grabbing boards as he is averaging 10.8 rebounds per game. He is a walking double-double and can get some second chance points for his team. He has the ability to catch fire and score at will on the offensive end, being a solid secondary scoring threat. Is a player that can work well in a two man game, feeding off of his guard.
