is coming off a standout performance in his second-round face-off against Chatfield, bringing a dominant 31-point massacre to secure Brighton a spot in the sweet 16. Knocking down 8/16 of his looks from the field and 5/7 from downtown, Sickler was able to create unlimited possibilities for himself. Sickler’s acceleration stands out most, as his change of pace is utilized to confuse defenders left and right. His court vision makes him a threat at all times. has always been a scoring onslaught, able to capitalize on difficult looks off the dribble and slither through the paint with ease. The new #5-ranked PG in 2026 has mastered his craft on defense, with his efforts contributing 3.1 SPG and 18.4 PPG. The 5’10 superstar is as shifty as it gets, with a handle on a string. Sickler knows how to operate on the pick and roll, connecting on a vast majority of possessions down the floor. Evolving into the player he is today, Sickler has worked hard to become great across all-aspects of the game.
Austin was cooking this past weekend, and he was a player that many left the event wanting to know more about. He finished with 19 points in a key matchup and turned some heads along the way. He’s a confident scorer who can catch fire in a hurry and carried stretches of the event with shot-making. He hit threes, created off the bounce, and strung together momentum buckets that gave his team life. You can tell the confidence is there, and the way that he attacked mismatches was with pure scorer’s swagger. He looked like a guy ready to explode this season.
Sickler is looking to build off a strong season for Brighton, and all signs point to him taking another big step forward. He’s a smooth shooter who can space the floor and punish defenses that give him too much room. Whether he’s spotting up on the wing or coming off a cut, he knows how to get open and knock down shots with confidence. Beyond his shooting Sickler moves well without the ball and plays with great awareness on the perimeter. He understands spacing, timing and how to keep the offense flowing. With his ability to stretch the floor and impact the game as a reliable wing scorer, Sickler is poised to be a key piece for Brighton’s success this season
Sickler provided plenty of offense from distance for Brighton this past season, already their most influential player at the time, as a second year player. Bringing deep range on the jumper, he is set for another successful season while playing alongside some upgraded frontcourt talent. Posting 16 points on 37% from distance, there are few guards north of Denver with his numbers this early on. His comfort creating looks out of ball screens will be a new wrinkle to Brighton’s offense, given their added size this season.
