He’s one of the top shooters in the Northwest Conference and puts on great displays of shooting from time to time. Against Ferndale HS, he had 27 points in a big win. Most importantly, he stepped up when his team needed it, scoring 12 points in the 4th quarter.

Ashton is a lights out shooter on the court. His game has grown a lot since the end of last season. He attacks the bucket well being able to put a quick move on the defender and using his speed to blow by. He finishes athletically at the rim and also runs the floor well in transition. His shooting abilities stand out by far as he can casually hit 7 or more three pointers, as he displayed late last season when given playing time. He’s going to be a top scorer on this team and should have an excellent season.

Ashton is a player that’s under the radar currently. With more playing time coming his way this year, he’s destined for a big senior year. He has a fast release and is able to launch it from DEEP. Late last season when getting minutes, he came up very big for the Storm with a couple games with 5+ three pointers made. He’s able to sink the deep shot off the dribble or off the catch effectively. People will start to learn his name as the season begins.
