Here’s just a handful of top performances within the senior class that I have watched live, been sent by the player, or seen on Twitter. There are MANY other players who have stood out that I missed as well. Here’s some of Devin’s Standouts over the last couple games!
Sylas is an overall very skilled player and he’s still improving. He improved a big amount in all assets of his game since the last season ended. Against Mount Tahoma he has a big double-double putting up 18 points and pulling down 16 rebounds. I think he’s going to have a very dominant senior season.
The UNLV commit is already arguably the best player in the 2023 class, maybe even the state. He continues to show why he’s a Division 1 type of player, stuff the stat sheet nightly. Against Gig Harbor, Hicks dropped 29 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Hicks is going to continue to lead this Timberline team.
Ashton is a player who plays very well on the court when he is given the minutes to showcase his skills. He’s one of the top shooters in the Northwest Conference and puts on great displays of shooting from time to time. Against Ferndale HS, he had 27 points in a big win. Most importantly, he stepped up when his team needed it, scoring 12 points in the 4th quarter.
Highlights
Soren is a true big man on the court. He’s one of the few “traditional” big men within the state. He is a rim to rim player and is extremely effective doing so. He had a monster game against Battle Ground, going for 32 points and 16 rebounds. He’s a beast on the glass and down low in the paint, there’s not many who can guard him.
Kade is a player who deserves to be ranked and should rise when the rankings are updated. He does it all for Chiawana, being a great leader and all around team player every game. Against Southridge he dropped 22 pointd, 8 rebounds, and dished out 4 assists. He’s someone to keep an eye on this year.
