About Brooklyn
Expert Analysis
Devin Record | Prep Hoops Scout
Brooklyn has been leading his team to a very, very good season so far. They went 14-0 in league play and Hicks scored 30 or more points in a game quite often. So often it became a normal thing for the senior. He won MVP within his conference for the 3rd time and impresses each time out. He’s extremely athletic, being able to dunk through the lane on anyone. He hits the deep shot well and finds his mid-range spots nicely.

Brooklyn is so much to fun on the court. He is ELECTRIC and plays the game with so much passion. The future UNLV player has been lights out all year, even recording his first ever triple double earlier this year. He’s patient with the ball and controls it very well, leading to few turnovers. He attacks the bucket arguably just as good as anyone in the state and is dangerous when going down-hill.

The top guard and the 2nd overall player in the 2023 class within Washington state has done a lot in his career. He’s a stud on the court, being able to score at all 3 levels with ease and make a ton of highlight plays. In a big win over Yelm, the future UNLV player did something he has never done before in his high school career. He dropped 36 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists to get his first career triple double.

The UNLV commit is already arguably the best player in the 2023 class, maybe even the state. He continues to show why he’s a Division 1 type of player, stuff the stat sheet nightly. Against Gig Harbor, Hicks dropped 29 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Hicks is going to continue to lead this Timberline team.

Timberline will only go as far as this man can take them and he is another sneaky player that could wind up in the Player of the Year talks. Expect the bursty guard to rack up the numbers this season and have some Superman-like games in the South Sound Conference.
