Against a Toledo Central Catholic team that was swarming all night, Addy found success in the second half dribbling past the defense on switches and in advantageous situations, splitting through help-side defenders and getting to the paint past an exhausted Irish defense. It seemed like the Lima Sr pace of play, defensive pressure and overall intensity got to Toledo Central Catholic as the Irish led for over three quarters but gave up the lead and started cramping up as a result of the high intensity of the contest.

A player who’s impact goes beyond the box score, Addy is a tough guard who simply helps his team in a variety of ways. Addy pushes the ball up the court when a teammate is running ahead of him in transition, he takes charges and he forced numerous turnovers in the Spartans full court pressing defense. Lima Senior will go as far as their role players take them this season and they have the potential to show up in Dayton for the state championship if everything clicks for them.

Addy is a poised and veteran point guard who plays the role of floor general at a high level. He’s quick with the ball, has a great handle, and always keeps his head up to make the right play. He’s the type of player you want running your offense because of his leadership and ability to control the tempo. Addy’s presence on the court instantly makes his team better.

It’s nice to see Addy having consistent healthy play after battling injuries earlier in his high school career, Addy is one of the best on-ball defenders in northwest Ohio and has had an impactful spring for the Ohio Buckets . A bit of a traditional point guard with how he impacts the game defensively and as a playmaker, I expect Addy to continue to raise his stock with a Lima Sr squad that should be in the state title picture.

A new addition to the Ohio Buckets 17 U squad, Addy has provided nice support as a two-way point guard who applies excellent on-ball defense. His quick feet and hands can help force turnovers and on the offensive end of the court Addy was beating defenders off the dribble and either scoring in the paint or kicking it out to a 3-point shooter. With a bunch of Division I talent on the roster, Addy just needs to defend and set the table for scorers, and he can do that at a high level and continue to have a positive impact with this group.

Addy was in the right places at the right times to make plays in the flow of the game. He provided a great spark with 7 points. Addy scored from behind the arc. He was also able to move the ball around and didn’t let it stick to his hands. He got paint touches when going downhill. Addy should be on the radar of college coaches in need of a guard in 2026.

Addy has delt with injuries and looks fully healthy once again, which is very good news for Lima Sr. Defensively, Addy provides excellent pressure on the ball and forced a five second count early in the game. Add in his active hands to strip bigs when they put the ball low for Addy to swipe away and he’s a pest on the defensive end of the court. I was also impressed with his passing ability with some sweet wrap around passes and alley-oops. A really impressive performance from Addy who didn’t need to score much to have a massive impact on the game.

Lima Sr is having one of their best football seasons this century as the Spartans are currently 8-0 and atop the Toledo City League. Addy has three touchdowns and over 200 yards receiving this season after having some big early season games. Despite the 8-0 record, Lima Sr is currently the nine seed in Division II Region 8 and would’ve been in jeopardy of missing the playoffs in the old format. With 16 teams qualifying per region, we’ll get to see if Lima Sr can hang with some of the top teams from SW Ohio in November.

Finally getting back on the court after a knee injury held him out for almost a year, it was nice to see Addy making an impact for the Spartans. Always been a tough defensive guard, Addy’s ball pressure can force turnovers which allow his teammates to get out on the fast break. Combine that with some turnaround jumpers and time and space 3-pointers and Addy looks like he’s getting closer to the player he was prior to the injury.
