Senior prospects wouldn’t typically be a topic of discussion on Prep Hoops at this time of the year, but Adrian’s extenuating circumstances have thrust him back onto my radar. Having recently decommitted from Kentucky State University do to staffing changes, Adrian has suddenly become one of Kentucky’s top available 2026 prospects. As his game continues to evolve, rest assured that Adrian’s clip from deep is still certified. Running with Kentucky Ambition MHC as an unsigned senior, he provides instant offense as a constant threat from deep who’s also capable of putting the ball on the floor. He had a really solid showing at the Grassroots Showcase and notably knocked down seven 3PT field goals in Ambition’s Saturday afternoon matchup.

There will be a lot of bracket busters this weekend but Wilder was a zone buster by knocking down numerous 3-pointers vs the Hazard zone. With a quick release and teammates that found him when he was open, Wilder was knocking down open shots at an efficient clip on a team filled with slashers. After Hazard cut the Butler lead to just three in the fourth quarter, Butler answered with a 9-0 run with two 3-pointers by Brayden Wilkins Brayden Wilkins 6'5" | PF Butler | 2027 State KY and a third by Wilder to put the game away.

Leading a team in PPG and RPG throughout the regular season creates a level of postseason attention that can be hard to overcome. Adrian found himself at the top of scouting reports throughout the 6th Region tournament and teams made it as difficult as possible for him to even get a touch. As one of the top seniors and a Top 50 3PT shooter in the state, however, he found a way to get his. His efficiency didn’t waiver – putting up lights out shooting splits of 50/40/85 throughout the tournament. If a game-winning buzzer-beater at Valley is needed, my money is on Adrian. His go-ahead 3PT FG in the title game sealed the deal for Butler’s Sweet 16 bid.

Adrian was one of the first players in the class to commit when he made his pledge to Kentucky State. With a coaching change there, it remains to be seen if he will stay committed there. Wherever he ends up, Wilder will give his college coach a tough and versatile player who can score, defend and plays his butt off.

He can heat up quickly, and once he does, he’s difficult to slow down. Wilder has a smooth, quick release with range well beyond the arc. His size, strength, and athleticism complement his shooting ability, and his solid mechanics allow him to consistently knock down tough shots. He’s also capable of creating his own look.

Wilder is making a solid case for 6th Region player of the year with impressive production. Entering tonight’s match leading the Bears in both PPG (15.2) and RPG (5.6) on 48/41/79 shooting splits, Wilder is a big reason why Butler is a top contender in the region for a second year in a row. Expect the Kentucky State commit to be a key matchup for the Panthers.

Already committed to Kentucky State, Wilder has been one of the biggest stock risers in this Senior class over the last few seasons. Adrian is an underrated athlete and a good shooter. He has really flourished under Coach Geary’s leadership the last two seasons.

Butler has a really solid team top to bottom with a handful of experienced 2026 prospects who play aggressive, tough and disciplined basketball. Wilder is their most talented offensive player and a prospect who gets better each time I watch him play. On Friday, Wilder was shooting the cover off the basketball from 3-point range with a couple top of key triples from well behind where the college line would be. In addition to that, Wilder has the positional size to see above the defense and make passes and also makes an impact in Butler’s aggressive defensive system. Expect Wilder to get a lot of attention from regional college programs throughout his senior season.

Another prospect from Butler High School in Louisville, Kentucky that really shined on Saturday, Wilder’s offensive versatility is what stood out the most. The strong, athletic, 6’4″ wing showed off a smooth jump shot, but was most effective when driving it right and finishing around the basket. He rebounded at a high-level on both ends of the floor as well. Very intriguing piece for a variety of college levels going into the summer.

Adrian continues to impress every time he gets an opportunity. Wilder was probably the recipient of the most “oohs and ahhs” as he played above the rim more than most at camp. Fearless on the drive, Adrian was challenging shot blockers at every chance he had. Wilder also has a quick trigger on his smooth jumper. He’s a player that every school in the Mid South Conference should be recruiting.
