About Aaron
Expert Analysis
Brian Flinn | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the most consistent performers across all three days, Ellis’ ability to get into the lane and either finish at the rim or find open teammates was highly impressive. More than that though, Ellis showcased a high basketball IQ and willingness to get his teammates the ball in the right spots.

Unfortunately Aaron hurt his ankle in the early stages of the third quarter. He did not return, but in the half we saw him we saw what a talent he is. He makes hustle plays and tough rebounds. Explosive athletic player. Showed his ability to score inside or step out and shoot the three ball.
A talented player we hope to see back right away.

Another quickly-emerging piece of the Royals’ rotation, Ellis has stepped up as a reliable double-figure scorer on the perimeter and impressed again with a smooth 11-point performance. Playing every second of the game, Ellis played with the poise and maturity of an upperclassman despite being just 15 years old, picking his spots efficiently and generating his points within the flow of the offense. He made quick decisions whether to shoot or move the ball while posing a dangerous threat as a floor spacer and knocking down two of his five attempts from long range. It looks like only a matter of time before Ellis emerges onto scholarship radars, as he continues to trend up as a potential D1 prospect.
