Bedri took advantage of his size, scoring at the rim with authority early and then showcasing his ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. The Grand River Academy transfer made an impact on the offensive side o the ball while also acting as a rim deterrent. He will be a difference maker in CHSAA play and a name colleges are going to want to monitor in the coming years.

One of three transfers arriving from Grand River Academy, Bedri gives the Royals a talented shooter with excellent size. At 6-foot-9, he is a legitimate stretch four whose skill set complements the other big men on the roster. His ability to space the floor will give Christ the King a different look from what it has featured at the position over the past few seasons. Bedri could become an important X-factor for a Royals team that appears deeper and more balanced than it was a year ago.

I caught Bedri for Grand River Academy this season and he stood out as a prospect with tremendous height and skill for his age. I liked Bedri’s confidence to shoot from the outside and space the floor. I also liked Bedri’s active hands defensively and ability to compete on the interior against older and more physically mature bigs. I’ll be curious to see how Bedri performs this summer as I’ve only seen him against older competition, getting to see him against other players his age group will give me a better sense of his talents.
