He got highlighted in the Iona Prep preview as a potential member of this year’s rotation but he’s still a guy not many know about. This young prospect has nice size, makes shots on the perimeter, he’s an effective cutter and should log a lot of minutes. His role should expand throughout the season, he can create space, he can help on the boards and will help the Gaels win games. O’ Meara has an opportunity to be a major contributor in the front court for 2026-2027 and could be name to look out for moving forward.

There’s a few hidden gems in this Iona Prep program but right now O’Meara is our favorite. He’s a nice blend of size, scoring, shooting and potential. While the Junior gets comfortable in his role he should have a big year for Iona and could be used in a variety of ways to help them win games. Really like his upside and game.

O’Meara has sprouted up to 6-foot-7 and with his shooting ability, will certainly draw scholarship attention with a strong first season of Varsity play at Iona Prep this season. A quick release on his jumper and range past the three point line, combined with a willingness to rebound and good passing, O’Meara is not only a fit for the Gaels, but an ideal forward for the modern game as well.
