He also utilizes his in-between game when needed. More schools should become involved with his recruitment in the coming weeks. He also proved his defensive ability by being active in the lanes to create steals.

He served as a consistent passer in the pick‑and‑roll, executed a well‑timed entry pass that led to a finish, and showed good touch finishing through tight defense. He added a pull‑up three in transition and used a straight‑line drive to finish through contact.

Kmetz, a talented scoring guard out of Iona Prep in New York, stood out with his offensive versatility and creativity as a multi-level scorer. The 6’4″ lefty is a smooth operator on the offensive end of the floor, playing at different speeds with the ball in his hands and scoring at all three levels. He makes quality passes off the bounce, is a willing ball mover, and has a motor that never stops on the offensive end of the floor. He’s a good athlete and shows a willingness to compete on the defensive end of the floor, while also having the ability to rebound and go on the glass.

Kmetz is only a rising junior but has a very strong body for a 6-foot-3 guard. He can handle it in transition and the half court but knows when to slow down and use his change-of-pace as opposed to his quickness. The lefty has an awesome spin move in the lane which got tons of defenders on their heels and he was able to finish amongst the trees because of his strength, control, and willingness to get to two feet. I don’t know what his outside shot looks like, but he’s shaping up to be a really nice D3 player in a couple years.
