Finding their offensive flow
The Phoenix should have no issue finding their offensive flow with their backcourt of guards led by senior Stephen Minor and junior Troy Mills. Minor has the ability to score on all three levels and knows when to get his teammates involved. He’s an aggressive guard with tons of strength in the ball in his hands.
Mills is another combo guard that can get out in the open court and make things happen off the bounce. He can create inside the perimeter and get to the rim, giving them quite the versatile backcourt.
Breakout Prospect on the Horizon
6-foot-6 junior forward Anthony Sellars is due for quite the breakout season after getting some attention from college programs over the summer. He currently holds offers from Winthrop, High Point and Tulsa heading into his junior season. He’s a player that can fill it up in a hurry in the paint and
Shooter in the 2022 Class
After going 23-5 in the 2018-19 and going 10-0 in conference play, it’s hard to imagine Winston-Salem Prep not being in the conversation for the 1A Title once again. With 2022 guard Dontae Watson in this year’s rotation, they still have reason to believe they can remain at the top.
Watson showed off his abilities as a sound defender in their press and as a sharpshooter from deep. When given room and rhythm, he’s a top shooter in the Triad area in his class.
