South Granville
South Granville has a solid combination of players in 2021 point guard Bobby Pettiford Jr., 2020s Wykise Allen, Micah Jones and 2021 guard Daniel Morton. 2020 Kobe Jones is also a transfer from Granville Central that brings athleticism on the wing. They’ll be the team to beat this season in league play.
Granville Central
The Granville Central Panthers have a two-headed monster in 2021 guards Jamari Mann and Terence Harcum Jr.. While they’re a deadly duo on their own, they’ll need a few players or two to step up against other opponents.
Louisburg
The Louisburg Warriors will be a solid team once again in the Northern Carolina Conference with 2021 combo guard Elijah Jamison leading the way. Jamison is a do-it-all guard that should have some more help in the rotation this season. 2021 guard Ethan Wood is another player to keep an eye on off the wing with his ability to shoot the 3-pointer.
J.F. Webb
J.F. Webb has a duo of juniors that should lead the way for them in 2019-20. Jamarion Dunkins and Jay-quan Pierce are two players that played big roles in 2018-19 and should have bigger ones to step into this upcoming season.
Bunn
Bunn High School went 4-10 in Northern Carolina Conference play this past season. They have a sleeper in 6-foot-8 big man Xiaver Jones (2021). He’s a post player that’s learning to play with energy on both ends. Ah’quay Mosley is another name to know in the 2021 class from this squad.
Warren County
Warren County went winless (0-14) in NCC action this past year but with all but two players returning from last year’s squad, the results could change given their experience. 2020 guard Andrew Smith will look to lead the team to greener pastures in 2019-20.
Roanoke Rapids
With a lot of their production from last year’s squad gone due to graduation, Roanoke Rapids could find themselves searching for wins in NCC play this upcoming season. They will be a young and inexperienced squad but could find their way over time.
