Elite Shooters
Jahvy Medearis 6’3 2020 Hotshots Elite 17u Premier
Fresh off his commitment to Cal State Bakersfield, Jahvy started the weekend with an elite pull up 3 falling early. Rattling of 8 3’s in his second game on Friday he finished the game with 29 points. with elite quickness and a very special handle, Jahvy had his pull up going as well as his catch and shoot filled it up all day Friday.
AJ Burgin 6’2 2021 Gampoint 16u
Aj’s progression through the years have snapped him into one of the quick relays guards of the 2021 class. With great size and the ability to create space Aj has been lighting up the nets since the end of his sophomore season. Friday he displayed his ability to do everything rebound and create for others. Also his ability to knock down open shots makes him very hard to guard. One of the premier sophomore guards in the Adidas Gold gauntlet.
Cole Anderson 6’2 2021 Chuck Hayes 16u
Cole was on fire the whole tournament but started his tear on Friday leading his team to easy wins and filling up his stat sheet. Seems to always be open and knock down the open shot. Can create space but moves very well with out the ball to create for himself. Elite shooter in Northern California.
Scoring Machines
Chris Bunch 6’6 2022 Hotshots Elite 16u Premier
One of the highest ceilings displayed this weekend was the long snipper Chris Bunch who has been playing up all spring. Scoring from all three ways he shot the lights out off the catch and using the pick and roll. With his size he showed off some very good mid post range and quickness that got him layups and a lot of free throws. While being able to shoot the three with range he rebounded and battled down low to keep his points going and keep his team in. This weekend he had 29 points in game 1.
Jaylen Clark 2020 6’5 Compton Magic
With his great frame Jaylen made his presence known with his energy. Making plays on defense, cleaning up rebounds and getting to the rim. One of the top Wings on the west coast he made great high level layups and threw it down with force in traffic.
Eye Opening Athletes
Ty Harper 2020 6’3 Cal Supreme
Ty Harper had 2 electric dunks on Friday. The quick lefty made it known to stay out the paint. Made quick moves and got to the rim. With a wired but strong frame he was able to bump defenders off their mark and finish with authority.
Julian Naibose 6’3 2022 Hotshots Elite 15u Premier
Very lanky freshman who can fly with the best of them. Friday he got up and blocked shots and made acrobatic layups. He also uses his athletic ability to create steals and jump in the passing lane. Still growing and gaining confidence Julian will be one of the top play makers in the 2022 class on the west coast.
