The solid 6-foot-8, 200-pound forward had some dominant games offensively for the Eagles and in the end, helped Stayton capture third place at 4A state. Anundi has some offers to choose from for colllege and as he sorts that out, he can look back on the past few months with a lot of pride.
“I think the season went well for us,” Anundi said. “We had a few tough losses at the start of the year that I think were really good for us moving forward. First time we won league in 12 years as well as a state tournament appearance – great year all around.”
With the season over, Anundi is now focusing on his college recruitment. He currently holds offers from Corban and Northwest Christian and is continuing to talk to Chico State as well. Anundi recently visited both Northwest Christian and Corban. “(Northwest Christian) was fun – I really enjoyed campus and everything about it and it’s definitely an option,” Anundi said. “And Corban went good. Got to meet with the coaches again and they upped their offer a little bit. It was a fun time!”
Anundi has a visit planned to Chico State on April 1 and he will evaluate his options at that point. In the meantime, he’s busy with school but also preparing for the Oregon Washington All-Star game, the Northwest Shootout which takes place on April 13th at Liberty High School.
“I’m really excited for it,” Anundi said. “It’s an honor to be asked to play in it. I’m excited to play with all of these guys that I’ve never played with before and represent Oregon!”
Anundi currently ranks as the #23 player in the PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2019 rankings.
