Bartlett had this to say about last season and what he expects for 2016.
“My freshman year was pretty good overall. I learned a lot from the upperclassmen on how to handle the demand of the schedule and still keep time for school. I have a 3.2 GPA. This year Palm harbor should be much improved.”
How would he break down his own game?
“I’m a true combo guard who can play point if need be but since I’m a bigger guard I tend to play more shooting guard. I played point guard last season. I’m definitely always looking to improve my shooting.”
Bartlett plays on the EYBL circuit for coach Edward “Boobie” Francis and Nike South Beach.
“It has been a big change from my previous years of AAU travel ball because of the speed of the game and the level of competition. So far my game both physically and mentally have continued to develop and I am playing with a lot of confidence as we head into the June high school team camps and the July NCAA live period events.”
…NSB has a great network of coaches that provide guidance and support on and off the court. I really like the balance since we are student athletics. They have approached practices and Nike circuit with an “all business” mentality. Just being a freshman, I feel like that really helps you prepare yourself for high school, college and life in general.”
Bartlett has no interest yet, but as he furthers his game heading into his sophomore season, the lengthy guard is going to turn some heads there’s no doubt about it.
