The 6’3 guard possesses a quick trigger, pure release and able to create separation for his shot. But he’s also a dynamic shooter. Wilson can pull up in transition, has unlimited range, can spot up on a dime and hit mid-range shots.
Wilson averaged a team-high 16 points, four rebounds and two assists a game in leading the Warriors to the playoffs for the second straight season.
But the gutsy Wilson is more than just a shooter.
“I don’t like to lose,” Wilson said. “I do what it takes to win. I love to pick my team up. Most shooters like to shoot, but I like to play defense.”
Wilson holds no offers. But the well-rounded Wilson has a 4.3 GPA and drawing interest from Harvard, Campbell and Stetson.
He hangs on his hallmark of hard work.
“I’m working as hard as I can this offseason on my game,” Wilson said. “I’m trying to improve my speed and get my vertical up so I can bang with people inside and finish better. I’m also trying to work on my handles and strength.”
Wilson is aiming for an opportunity at the next level.
“I want to play at highest level I can,” Wilson said. “If I don’t get in the game my first year, that’s fine. I feel I’ll work my way in. I’ll work hard and do what it takes to play.”
Wilson will be playing with Team Under Pressure on the AAU circuit. Expect the driven Wilson to make a splash this offseason.
