The backcourt! Who do we want to see go head to head in the backcourt! Let's give you ten names now!

[player_tooltip player_id='2847053' first='Kade' last='Farenbaugh'] (Holy Family) vs [player_tooltip player_id='2846686' first='Charlie' last='Walker'] (Hayfield). These are 6'2 shooters that are ready to make a name for themselves in the 2028 class. Both are from small schools, both have showed us in the last six months that they can hit threes in bulk, and we look forward to seeing them knock down shots on Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id='2544137' first='Acaurii' last='Clark'] (Simley) vs [player_tooltip player_id='2874892' first='Izaiah' last='Davis'] (St. Paul Highland Park). Two players from Section 3AAA in the east metro that are going to see one another in the winter, and both are versatile talents. Davis will be at the rim finishing aggressively and battling like a linebacker, Clark is a wing that is now at 6'4 and we are curious where his game has grown to in the last year. Each had good 2025-26 seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560499' first='Kevin' last='Wilson Jr.'] (Tartan) vs [player_tooltip player_id='2126470' first='Milton' last='Nuahn'] (Benilde-St. Margaret's). Stopping KJ Wilson, that's maybe the toughest task in the state right now. If you are going to do it you need to laterally move well and have some strength to bump Wilson off the line a bit. Nuahn surely has the strength, he looks like an NFL slot receiver, plus Milton moves well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2382070' first='Jack' last='Mroczenski'] (Rosemount) vs Sartrel Fuller (DeLaSalle). Here we have 2028s who we will have our eyes on. Mroczenski was very good for Hoops Habits, now we see how he is prepared for the high school season as he earns more time there. Jack is a combo guard and we look forward to seeing the all around game from him. Fuller is an explosive talent that has great highlights, we know that. So now, how about the ball skills and the game IQ? We will watch those closely tomorrow.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126154' first='Julian' last='Smith'] (Cretin-Derham Hall) vs [player_tooltip player_id='2954092' first='Fred' last='Onyinkwa'] (Anoka). Two of the more important guards in Class AAAA this year will be Julian and Fred. Julian moves into the go to scorer role at CDH with Schlagel injured and Fred is a guy Anoka is looking to as they try and answer their guard issues when it comes to running the offense. Fred can ball pressure and seeing him defend Smith would be interesting. As for Julian, he will be one of the better shooters at the event.
