The Expo gave us another great look at a group of guards who brought different styles, strengths and plenty of energy to the floor. From shot makers and downhill attackers to true point guards who created for others, these guards showed they could impact games in multiple ways. What stood out most was the toughness, confidence and willingness to compete. With The Expo now in the books, we're excited to see how these guards carry that momentum into the upcoming season and what another year of growth could bring.

Simpson showed us he was a true guard who wanted the ball in his hands and wasn't afraid to handle pressure. He was at his best when he got downhill, attacked gaps and put defenders on their heels. The aggression was obvious as he wanted to make something happen every time he touched it. What stood out was the need to become a more complete offensive player. When Simpson settled into a facilitator role, he showed flashes of really good playmaking. The scoring mentality was there, but The Expo gave us a closer look at how much more impact he could have when he balanced scoring with creating for others

Greene was exactly the type of guard we loved seeing because he brought energy, skill and plenty of ways to impact the game. He could flat out shoot it, but defenders couldn't simply run him off the line because he was just as comfortable attacking the paint and finishing with either hand. He stayed in front of his man defensively, played with great activity and consistently made winning plays. We also loved his willingness to make the extra pass and keep things moving. The Expo gave Greene a chance to show he was much more than a shooter and that he's a complete guard who could make things happen

Van Slyke really thrived at The Expo and gave us plenty to be excited about. He showed his ability to push the pace in transition, finishing with authority at the rim and knocking down threes when defenders backed off. He also handled point guard duties well, showing he could create, make plays and keep the offense moving. Defensively he was active in the passing lanes and turned that pressure into steals and easy opportunities going the other way. Most importantly Van Slyke showed he could take over stretches of a game and wasn't afraid to be the guy when his team needed someone to step up

McClain brought the kind of toughness and energy to The Expo that immediately grabbed our attention. He was aggressive getting to the rim, constantly attacking off the bounce and putting pressure on defenders. Once he got downhill he had a knack for getting himself into scoring opportunities and finishing plays. He didn't just bring it offensively either, McClain competed defensively and played with the same edge on that end of the floor. There was a physicality and nonstop motor to his game that you love to see from a guard. He is a player who wasn't afraid to attack, compete and make his presence felt on the floor

Paswater really stood out with the kind of feel and basketball IQ you want from a lead guard. He understood spacing, timing and how to keep the offense flowing without forcing things. He handled the ball with confidence, could create his own scoring opportunities and showed he was just as comfortable setting up teammates. His ability to read the floor allowed him to make plays a step ahead, whether that meant attacking a gap, finding an open teammate, or getting into his own offense. The Expo gave us a great look at a smart, poised point guard who could score, facilitate and control the game

Said brought a lot of the little things to The Expo that can make a big difference for a team. He was trustworthy with the ball, made the extra pass and consistently looked for ways to create good opportunities instead of forcing the action. He also helped generate second chances by staying active and competing for loose balls and rebounds. Defensively Said played with toughness and made opponents work for everything. His game was built around making winning plays, and showed how valuable that approach could be. He wasn't just out there looking for numbers but finding ways to impact the game wherever he could
