Paswater made his case with fee of the game and just knowing where not be on the floorl. At The Expo, he consistently looked like he understood what each play needed and it wasn’t just scoring. He attacks gaps, moves without the ball and creates for teammates and that helps. We’ve seen another side of him as well, where his rebounding, toughness, and ability to grab the board and start the break with a solid outlet pass helped him standout at one of our events. He’s a fill the gap type of player and doesnt have to dominate the ball to be effective. Hopefully he brings those intangibles to the team this year because that could have him grow even more and be utilized this season. 

Paswater really stood out with the kind of feel and basketball IQ you want from a lead guard. He understood spacing, timing and how to keep the offense flowing without forcing things. He handled the ball with confidence, could create his own scoring opportunities and showed he was just as comfortable setting up teammates. His ability to read the floor allowed him to make plays a step ahead, whether that meant attacking a gap, finding an open teammate, or getting into his own offense. The Expo gave us a great look at a smart, poised point guard who could score, facilitate and control the game

Paswater was a steady force in the paint for RTS Choice, making his presence felt with his activity and toughness all weekend. He battled for rebounds on both ends of the floor, giving his team extra possessions while limiting second chance opportunities for opponents. After securing the board he did an excellent job throwing accurate outlet passes to ignite the fast break and keep the tempo high. He also ran the floor extremely well, consistently beating defenders down the court for easy scoring chances. Combined with his ability to finish inside, Paswater proved to be a productive, high energy frontcourt player throughout the tournament

This is our first time getting eyes on Paswater, and we liked his ability to light it up as a floor spacer. Once he got his feet set, he was knocking shots down. He squares his body and lets it fly, and his teammates found him often. He had a few flurry moments where he knocked down multiple shots in a row in different games. Paswater is a microwave scorer who we want to see more of, and was a big reason that RTS Choice had a successful weekend. He’s now on our watch list of players to keep an eye on.
