The Expo: Summer Head Turners That Continue To Shine

The summer gave us plenty of new names to keep an eye on, and The Expo gave these players another chance to prove that momentum was real. After catching our attention throughout the summer, they carried that confidence, competitiveness and growth into another strong setting. Each player found different ways to impact the game, showing flashes of skill, toughness and versatility that stood out. The Expo didn't just reinforce what we saw this summer but it gave us even more reasons to keep watching.    Munoz caught our attention at The Expo with the way he competed and impacted the game from the opening tip. He showed a willingness to take control of the ball and initiate offense, while his full court defensive pressure brought consistent energy. Munoz played with a high motor and wasn't afraid to make things difficult for opposing guards. Offensively he displayed soft touch around the basket and used the glass effectively on his finishes. His combination of effort, toughness and confidence made him one of the familiar names we left the showcase feeling real excited about     Rich kept the momentum going at The Expo after a strong summer, showing the athleticism and versatility that have made him stand out. He got downhill consistently, drew fouls, finished a fast break dunk and even stepped into multiple face up three. His vision was another positive, as he made several smart passes and saw the floor well. What we liked most was how comfortable he looked making plays in different spots. Rich has clearly added to his game this summer, and The Expo was another step forward     Lewis was a problem for defenders at The Expo, especially when he got downhill and started using his leverage to create advantages. He finished through contact, showed a strong feel for getting his body between defenders and the ball and was dangerous in transition. The three ball was a major weapon as well, giving him another way to punish defenses. Lewis brought the type of offensive pressure and intensity that forced teams to adjust, and his ability to score in multiple ways made him one of the tougher matchups we saw at The Expo     Preston kept the momentum rolling at The Expo and once again showed why he's a player we keep coming back to. He was constantly hunting gaps, making sharp backdoor cuts and finishing plays around the rim. His slashing ability stood out as he attacked space and turned timely cuts into easy scoring opportunities. Preston also showed a confident mid range game along with a quick release when defenders gave him room. He brings a strong off ball presence and knows how to make himself a problem without forcing the action. Another solid step forward at The Expo     Roybal was a constant problem at The Expo, simply finding ways to make plays. He created his own offense, got himself into the right spots and kept the pressure on with a nonstop motor. When a scoring opportunity was there he attacked it, and when things broke down he found another way to make something happen. That constant activity stood out throughout his minutes. Roybal plays with a compete level you notice quickly, and his ability to keep producing in different ways made for another strong showing     Rose brought a ton of excitement to The Expo and kept finding ways to put pressure on the defense. He attacked the glass, grabbed rebounds and went right back up for finishes. His burst stood out as well, blowing by defenders and taking the ball coast to coast for scoring opportunities. Away from the ball Rose stayed active, slipped into open gaps and made himself available for spot up threes. When his feet were set he knocked down open looks with ease. A versatile offensive showing from a player who was constantly making something happen     Chester showed at The Expo that his value goes well beyond simply filling a role. He gave his team a physical presence inside, competing on the glass and taking on bigger matchups defensively. He also made smart plays away from the ball, using screens, finding open space and staying ready when opportunities came his way. His footwork was great and showed a face up ability that allowed him to create quality looks, while his efficiency as a shooter continued to stand out in his game. Chester's ability to contribute in so many areas makes him a player who can have a real impact
