June has become a vital part of the recruiting process since the NCAA added the live periods back in 2019. We've seen different guys take what they've learned from the first half of the travel ball season and really find their footing as high level players in the month of June. Let's take a deeper look at some guys that really performed in the month of June from the 2027 class.

If there was an exact replica article talking about this from a national scope it would be a glaring omission if Walters name wasn't included. Walters continues to progress as a player every single time we see him and the extra HS year at NC GBB is exactly what the basketball doctor ordered as he's emerging as a guy that's getting real national attention. Walters and this GBB team had a mini tour up and down the Mid Atlantic region as he proved to be a cut above the rest of the competition. The athletic pop, alpha approach, and non-stop motor grab your attention with his outside touch and ability to make plays keeping you locked in whenever you view Walters. He's proving to be a really high level player and it'll be very interesting to see where he stacks up in the next 2027 update now that he's a member of that class.

We've already mentioned it but there might not be a bigger riser in the next 2027 update as [player_tooltip player_id='3553023' first='Dillon' last='Mason'] is proving to be a special wing guard that can do so many things to help your team win. During both of the NCISAA Live Sessions, Mason was doing absolutely everything for this Southlake Christian team as they faced many of the top rosters in the State of North Carolina. He's got on-ball ability while possessing a strong frame on top of being a true + athlete at both ends of the floor. He's proving to be a very very talented two way wing that will undoubtedly get some real recruiting attention in July if he's able to keep this up.

Connor had one of the most productive month's of any prospect in America with all factors considered. He started the month off with a really strong performance at NBPA Top 100 Camp where he was one of the most consistent performers at his position in the camp. He then followed it up with really strong performances at both NCISAA live period events as he picked up offers from Illinois, Wake Forest, Houston, and others. The mismatch forward's physicality and motor give teams a great baseline idea of what Connor can bring to the table in their lineup. This year will be interesting to see how exactly Connor expands his game, I think we'll see him really put a ton of focus and effort on improving his consistency as a shooter which would make him a truly complete offensive weapon.

Williams is ranked amongst other division one level players for a reason and over the month of June he once again proved that he's a bonafide prospect for that level. Now that Williams has had consistent health over the last 12-18 months, he's in a real rhythm with his game as a complete scorer of the basketball. He's grown to about 6'3", embraced the grind in the weight room, and has parlayed all of his experience to make him a very poised player. With Hickory Ridge, Williams was able to help carry them to many wins in both the NCBCA Camp and the Phenom Hoops Team Camp. He's a really smooth and confident scorer that is able to exploit mismatches in the backcourt in so many ways.

Smith is a guy in this 2027 class that doesn't always get a ton of hype but has proven to be a consistently productive player that directly impacts winning at both ends of the floor, regardless of the setting we see him in. Smith found his footing on this Salisbury state title run last season as a guy who can guard anyone on the floor at the HS level while also being a feature rebounder that had some special games in that department. Smith is now showing more confidence in his ability to self create offense, allowing his game at that end of the floor to shine even brighter ahead of his senior season. He possesses a ton of athletic tools, a high running motor, and great instincts at both ends of the floor. He's a real sleeper prospect in this class that could be a late riser in these rankings.

Jacques continues to prove himself as a bonafide next level prospect with his steady blend of playmaking, shotmaking, and leadership shining bright every time we see him. He's more than comfortable playing on or off the ball but his team typically generates really high quality shots when he's initiating the offense. Jacques is incredibly vocal at both ends of the floor ensuring that everyone is in the right spot at the right time. In both NCISAA Live Team Camp Sessions, Jacques was able to help Grace Christian in key moments in front of college coaches as he looks to find his next level home. For the level he is being recruited at, he genuinely checks all of the boxes.
