Williams is a very gifted prospect in NC’s 2027 class who has been producing at a high level at Hickory Ridge for quite some time now. Hickory Ridge is 13-5 with a 7-1 mark in league play and Williams is simply doing what he does. In his junior season, Williams is averaging 23 Points, 9 Rebounds, 5 Assists, and 4 Steals per game. Williams is a dynamic shot maker from beyond the arc and in the mid-range. He also does a great job making reads out of ball screens where he has accurate and timely passes, along with possessing the ability to finish at the rim in a variety of ways. Williams just announced he’ll be playing with 1 of 1 Elite this spring/summer.

Williams came up short in the matchup with Coulter and the Aces, but that game would’ve been much different without him on the floor. 18 of his 25 points came in the second half, as he began to use his physical advantage to score in the paint. Travien also racked up 4 steals and a block as his athleticism affected the game on the defensive end too. Williams is a very good finisher as he can do so with either hand or through contact.

He’s a shifty guard who’s been impressive in leading Hickory Ridge’s backcourt with his ability to create off the bounce and knock down shots. He’s shown he can make things happen with and without the ball in his hands with his athleticism and savvy in the painted area. College programs in the region would be wise to get eyes on him!

Another stock-riser in the 2027 class who has made quite the impression on the PH platform over the past few months, Williams showcased quite the ability as a two-way presence. He showed he could defend a number of different positions as well as attack off the bounce. He’s a name with a bright future ahead of him as he showcased his skills among the NC Top 80 group.

Williams is another Team Ish byproduct who looks poised for a jump in his sophomore year as he moves from the Watch List into No. 31 in the latest rankings update. He’s got a bright future ahead of him at Hickory Ridge High after a strong varsity debut in 2023-24. He produced 9.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 steals per contest as a do-it-all combo guard. Look for him to make more noise in 2024-25.
