This league is one of the best grassroots circuits in the country every year, and this year is no different. South-Carolina-based [program_tooltip program_id='3565368' first='Twelve' last='Time'], owned by former Crestwood Star Ja Morant, is the lone in-state program, plus there are two South Carolina prospects playing with North Carolina's Team CP3, owned by NBA legend Chris Paul. Check out this statistical update and five top performers from Nike EYBL Session 1: </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:separator --> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" /> <!-- /wp:separator --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='3565368' first='Twelve' last='Time'] 15U (2-2)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>Player</td><td>Points Per Game</td><td>Rebounds Per Game</td><td>Assists Per Game</td><td>Steals Per Game</td><td>Blocks Per Game</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2566640' first='Sheldon' last='Davis']</td><td>12.8</td><td>4.8</td><td>3.0</td><td>1.5</td><td>0.3</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2469365' first='Sullivan' last='Templeton']</td><td>7.5</td><td>5.3</td><td>0.5</td><td>0.0</td><td>0.0</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2419233' first='Kai' last='Lowery']</td><td>3.0</td><td>1.0</td><td>0.3</td><td>0.8</td><td>0.3</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2425417' first='Grant' last='Pursley']</td><td>6.5</td><td>4.0</td><td>2.5</td><td>0.5</td><td>0.3</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='3041765' first='Desmond' last='Grant']</td><td>8.3</td><td>3.0</td><td>2.3</td><td>1.3</td><td>1.0</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2882627' first='Jacori' last='Wright']</td><td>3.0</td><td>4.8 </td><td>0.8</td><td>0.8</td><td>0.5</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2948752' first='Malik' last='Woods']</td><td>4.0</td><td>1.8</td><td>1.8</td><td>0.0</td><td>0.0</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2982771' first='Christian' last='Belton']</td><td>2.8</td><td>1.8</td><td>0.8</td><td>0.3</td><td>0.0</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Team CP3 17U (2-1)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>Player</td><td>Points Per Game</td><td>Rebounds Per Game</td><td>Assists Per Game</td><td>Steals Per Game</td><td>Blocks Per Game</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2104388' first='Robert' last='Wylie']</td><td>4.3</td><td>2.7</td><td>0.3</td><td>0.3</td><td>0.0</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Team CP3 16U (4-0)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>Player</td><td>Points Per Game</td><td>Rebounds Per Game</td><td>Assists Per Game</td><td>Steals Per Game</td><td>Blocks Per Game</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2470128' first='Jermier' last='Nelson']</td><td>5.3</td><td>2.8</td><td>4.3</td><td>2.0</td><td>0.3</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Top Performers: </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2566640' first='Sheldon' last='Davis'] - [program_tooltip program_id='3565368' first='Twelve' last='Time']'s [player_tooltip player_id='2566640' first='Sheldon' last='Davis'] is first up of the top performers from Nike EYBL Session One. He had an excellent first EYBL event, checking in at #2 in team PPG and #1 among in-state players. Although he consistently scored in every game, he also filled out the stat sheet with production on the defensive end of the floor, on the glass, and in setting up teammates. The shots will always be there for Sheldon on this team, so if he improves his efficiency and limits the turnovers, he will begin to draw national attention sooner rather than later. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:embed {"url":"https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXj4ll1ktrB/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linku0026amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==","type":"rich","providerNameSlug":"instagram","responsive":true} --> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXj4ll1ktrB/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== </div></figure> <!-- /wp:embed --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2425417' first='Grant' last='Pursley'] - Another high-impact offensive player for this squad is Pursley. He is always going to be a guy who knocks down shots, but it was encouraging to see him impact the game in other areas in Atlanta. His highlights featured a lot of jump shooting, but his 2.5 APG and 4.0 RPG proved that he is more than just a spot-up option. Grant has a skilled, all-around offensive game to attack favorable matchups and produce in spots defensively. Keep an eye on him to be one of the team's top weapons this season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:embed {"url":"https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXsrPSTjH0r/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linku0026amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==","type":"rich","providerNameSlug":"instagram","responsive":true} --> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXsrPSTjH0r/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== </div></figure> <!-- /wp:embed --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3041765' first='Desmond' last='Grant'] - When you are looking through the box scores, Desmond had two lines that really jump out at you. First, he opened up the weekend with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal, and 4 blocks in a win over Team United, then he followed up with 14 points on 6-6 FG and 0 turnovers against PSA Cardinals. Overall, the takeaways from Grant's weekend should be his scoring, as he looked creative in attacking the rim in transition and comfortable shooting off the catch and the bounce, but if he continues to be this impactful defensively, [program_tooltip program_id='3565368' first='Twelve' last='Time'] will win a lot of games. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:embed {"url":"https://twitter.com/DesmondGrantt/status/2049288710504485092?s=20","type":"rich","providerNameSlug":"twitter","responsive":true} --> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/DesmondGrantt/status/2049288710504485092?s=20 </div></figure> <!-- /wp:embed --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2104388' first='Robert' last='Wylie'] - It wasn't an overly productive weekend for Wylie in Atlanta, but from the early buzz around this team, it isn't needed from him. His role is much more of a 3 &amp; D type of wing, using his physicality to be a weapon defensively and adding the offense in spots. DJ's highest scoring game was the day three win over Brad Beal Elite, where he racked up 7 points on 3-6 FG and 1-4 3FG. Look for those numbers to jump as the games get more important, because Wylie always seems to rise in the biggest of moments. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2470128' first='Jermier' last='Nelson'] - Another Palmetto State prospect running with Team CP3 on the EYBL Circuit is [player_tooltip player_id='2470128' first='Jermier' last='Nelson']. Nelson is with the 16s, and is arguably their best Point Guard. There are tons of mouths to feed on this roster, and it's Jermier's job to get everyone the ball and run the offense. He averaged a team-high 4.3 APG this weekend, but he also led them defensively with 2.0 SPG. Nelson might not ever score a ton, but he will grab the attention of college coaches with his consistent ability to make the right play and set up those around him for success. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
