Saturday in Indianapolis turned into a full-court sprint, bouncing between three different events and catching some of the area's top talent in action. From early tip-offs to late-day matchups, the energy never dipped, and neither did the level of play. Standout performances kept stacking up at every stop, with players making strong cases as the day's top performer. After a packed schedule and plenty of high-level hoops, several players separated themselves from the rest with performances that demanded attention. Here is Part 2 of my standouts from a jam packed Saturday:

[player_tooltip player_id='2194347' first='Devin' last='Colbert'] | 5'9” | 2027 | Guard | Progeny UAA 2027

[player_tooltip player_id='2194347' first='Devin' last='Colbert'] is the starting point guard at Decatur Central coming off an historic season where the Hawks made their first ever semi-state. Colbert was huge in the Regional Championship win and has clearly continued his strong play into the AAU season. He's a game changer on both ends of the floor. He's electric any time the ball on his hands. The lightning quick guard has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Elite in transition, he's a one man fast break that plays with his eyes up, and if you're open, he will find you. His jump shot continues to get better and better every time k see him play. He was able to knock down a couple 3's while constantly putting pressure on the rim. The smaller guard is starting to put the state on notice and his stick will continue to rise heading into his senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617866' first='Jaylin' last='Foster'] | 6'5” | 2028 | Forward | Progeny UAA 2028

One of the more productive players in the Indiana in-state class of 2028, [player_tooltip player_id='2617866' first='Jaylin' last='Foster'] is an absolute stud that blends production with top end potential. The high motor forward is productive on both ends of the floor, and a lot of it is just because he plays harder than everyone else. He's a versatile defender that disrupts in passing lanes and in pick and roll situations. Able to switch on to guards and contain them on the perimeter while being a big time rebounder. His offensive game continues to improve along with his athleticism. He was able to get to the basket and on one occasion finished with a ferocious left hand dunk. Solid handle and showed the ability to knock down the open 3 off the catch. Big time prospect with untapped potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='2141011' first='Preston' last='Johnson'] | 6'5” | 2027 | Forward | [program_tooltip program_id='2471005' first='Legacy' last='Ice Elite'] 2027

This was my first time seeing [player_tooltip player_id='2141011' first='Preston' last='Johnson'] play and he was a really impressive inside-out forward for [program_tooltip program_id='2471005' first='Legacy' last='Ice Elite'] 2027. Paired alongside a forward in [player_tooltip player_id='2426066' first='Samarcus' last='Gipson'] that compliments his game really well on both ends of the floor. Johnson was able to have a stretch where he caught it on the wing and got to the basket with a quick first step and finished through contact. He's a well built kid that knows how to use his body. He's a good rebounder that showed the ability to push in transition on occasion. He runs the floor extremely hard and established low post position. Good footwork and fluid motion into his jump hook over the left shoulder. High motor forward that makes winning plays for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252551' first='James' last='Kalala'] | 6'7” | 2026 | Forward | Progeny UAA 2027

Physically imposing unsigned senior was a man amongst boys on Saturday. Extremely high motor that controls the paint on both ends of the floor. Defensive anchor that rebounded and protected the rim as well as any player I saw on Saturday. His offensive game continues to come along. Continues to be primarily a pick and roll/rim run guy that finishes around the basket, but showed an improved shooting stroke from the free throw line. His energy on both ends is always fantastic and which ever program at the next level is getting an impact guy that will do anything to win.

[player_tooltip player_id='3605376' first='Josephat' last='Kanyinda'] | 6'9” | 2027 | Center | [program_tooltip program_id='2470506' first='Progeny' last='UA Rise'] 2027

A high potential forward with length, [player_tooltip player_id='3605376' first='Josephat' last='Kanyinda'] made a finger first impression in front of me on Saturday night. Athletic forward that gets from one end of the floor to the other well. Does a good job using his length around the basket altering shots, rebounding, and getting putbacks. A bit raw offensively, but showed flashes of the potential that he has. Plays really hard and can be a disruptive on the defensive end while finishing plays on the offensive end. Intriguing 2027 prospect whose best days are ahead of him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2381200' first='Levi' last='Lindeman'] | 6'7” | 2027 | Wing/Forward | Indiana Basketball Club Gold 2027

This was my second time getting to see 6'7” Bloomington North Wing/Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2381200' first='Levi' last='Lindeman'] this spring and I love his activity on the floor. Uses his length and athleticism to his advantage. Physical body with the ability to play inside/out. Hard right hand driver that can play above the rim in traffic as well as finish through contact while staying on balance. Capable three-point shooter but is best getting downhill. Always moving on the offensive end. Excellent cutter that results in him being a play finisher. Showed some playmaking ability on the wing out of pick and roll situations, but is best off the ball where he can rip through and get paint touches. He's a versatile defender that is an excellent rim protector at his size. He disrupts passing lanes well while being an effective rebounder that can push in transition. A good spring and summer on the AAU circuit will push him into a big senior season ahead for him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140411' first='Kolton' last='Schmitt'] | 6'6” | 2027 | Wing | Team Tradition 2027

The 6'6” two-sport athlete is finding his groove again on the basketball court. Schmitt is one of the better spot up three-point shooters in the Southwest Indiana Area and showed why in Team Tradition 2027's win over Indiana Basketball Club 2027 Gold on Saturday. Silky smooth offensive game that he plays at a methodical pace with. Not the quickest or most athletic but finds a way to get to his spot and uses his height and length to get shots up over the top of defenders. The improvement of his floor game off the dribble is what will continue make him such an intriguing small college prospect heading into his senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560359' first='David' last='Smith'] | 6'5” | 2028 | Guard/Wing | Progeny UAA 2028

You can argue if 6'5” 2028 Guard/Wing [player_tooltip player_id='2560359' first='David' last='Smith'] doesn't play with the impact he had on the floor in Progeny UAA 2028's narrow victory over MidPro Academy, the end result could've been different. The long and athletic North Central Product was all over the floor on both ends making winning plays. Hard nosed defender that stepped up to the challenge late in the game. Versatile on both ends being able to switch essentially 1-4 while continuing to be a good rebounder that can push the tempo in transition. Offensively he was able to get to any spot on the floor he wanted. He's a shifty playmaker that gets downhill and finishes in a variety of different ways. His activity is what one them the game and is what makes him as intriguing of a long term prospect as I saw on Saturday.
