Long and lanky wing that showed why he’s one of the best three-point shooters not only in Southwest Indiana, but in the entire state. At 6’6”, he showed his ability to score in a variety of different ways using his size to his advantage. High release on his shot with deep range. Was really good in the mid-post. Has good feel playing with his back to the basket scoring with either hand around the rim.

He scored a team-leading 22 points in the win on Thursday evening. Schmitt will be an intriguing prospect to follow this spring and summer.

The lengthy 6’6” wing went on one of his special runs that only he can really do. The smooth shooting junior out of Gibson Southern scored all over the floor in the parts of two games that I saw him. He never gets sped up and looks to make the right play every time. Plays on balance and showed his ability to rise up from anywhere and knock down shots.
