ENC Class of 2020 Prospects to Watch
J.H Rose Guard Creighton Lebo: He put up some big time numbers last season for his team and we only expect him to put together some even better numbers next year. He has a natural ability to score the ball and has been around the game for quite some time as he is a coaches son, be on the lookout for him to turn plenty of heads.
Grace Christian Forward Allan Taylor: Our first chance of getting a good look at him was last year in their matchup with Kerr Vance Academy. He has nice size and plays the game in a pretty physical manner, he rebounds it at a nice rate, finishes inside, and blocks shots without fouling.
Purnell Swett Forward Xavier Jones: On almost a nightly basis he can go for a double/double in points and rebounds, even though he is not the tallest player he does his work by using his IQ and high motor. His team didn’t have their best year this past season but we expect the multi-sport athlete to have a nice season next year.
EE Smith Forward Jaylen Siermons: He has alot of the tools that you like to see from a player and it will be interesting to see how things go for him with the coaching change at EE Smith. Size and athletic ability are two of the things that he already has and if he’s locked in next year, then we can expect a very good year from him.
Cape Fear HS Guard Chase Dawkins: A specialty player is what we would define him as at this point, he can knock down shots at a nice rate and moves well without the ball. The next step for him is being able to break down his defender, as of now he’s more of a catch and shoot player but once he takes his ball handling to the next level, he will be more of a dangerous player.
