Ray really caught fire this summer, and his recent play has us excited about what the future could hold. When we first saw him, there was no question he was still a raw prospect, but the flashes were impossible to miss. Now he is beginning to put those pieces together and play with more consistency and confidence. Ray has proven to be a capable guard who can create opportunities for himself and others, while his scoring package continues to stand out. He loves getting downhill, attacking pressure and putting defenders on their heels. His continued development makes him a clear riser

Ray put together one of the better guard performances of the day once he settled into his rhythm. What stood out was that nothing was forced; he was just trying to pick his spots. Early on, he navigated the offense and consistently recognized when the defense opened up a teammate, delivering the kick-out instead of forcing his own look. Then his scoring started to come. Ray got to his mid-range pull-up, knocked down threes, and showed a decisive first step that allowed him to blow by defenders and score without making things complicated. He looked to be at his best when he was playing instinctively and in rhythm, and once he found that flow, he was difficult to slow down as he scored at will. We want to see more of that and him being a pest defensively as Frederick has some solid guards over there making some noise. 

Christian provided guard play and kept his team under control throughout the game. He remained a consistent contributor offensively and showed flashes of getting hot in a hurry when his team needed a scoring spark. His balanced impact on both ends of the floor made him one of the more dependable guards of the day.

Ray brought a burst of energy every time he hit the floor this weekend. His quickness jumps out immediately, especially with how well he changes speeds to keep defenders guessing. He’s constantly on the attack, putting pressure on the defense and forcing them to react. What stood out most was his ability to fill gaps from finding open lanes, cutting at the right time and creating opportunities without needing the ball in his hands for long. He plays fast but under control, making him tough to contain. Ray’s ability to create and capitalize on space made him a consistent problem throughout the tournament
