Coming off Friday's loss to Byrnes, Monday felt like a must-win for the Dorman Cavaliers. Riverside had a little bit of room for error after a 13-game win streak with the second matchup with the Rebels looming, and it played out just as the storylines would suggest. Riverside played well in the first quarter, but then Dorman adjusted extremely well to double up the Warriors in the second quarter and lead for the rest of the night. Check out these five players who stepped up for their respective teams in the Cavaliers' 68-55 win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1645095' first='Will' last='Bush'] had a handful of coaches from Francis Marion and USC Aiken in town to watch him on Monday night, and he definitely showed out. Bush was crucial in the first half, knocking down all three attempts from the perimeter. Will's ability to catch and shoot at his size with a high release point is one of the things that make him so coveted by colleges, but when you mix in his strong footwork, soft touch, and big frame, Bush looks like he could be a very good player at the next level.

Breazeale might not be the flashiest name or prospect on this Cavalier roster, but he was the most important player on the floor in their win over Riverside last night. He was excellent on the defensive end of the floor, physically making life difficult for his matchup on every possession. In the second half, he started to get rewarded with more of the ball on the offensive end, where he displayed a comfort in hitting shots off the dribble and some creativity at the rim. Peden finished with 13 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals in the win.

One of the most intriguing parts about this matchup was the high-level scoring capabilities of each team's best guard. For Dorman, that was [player_tooltip player_id='1737994' first='Jaden' last='Johnson'], who was honored at the start of the game for scoring 1,000 points in 52 games as a Cavalier, the fastest player in program history to do so. Jaden looked in the mood to put the ball in the basket in the first half, showing out with 18 points while consistently beating his man off the dribble, hitting difficult shots around the rim, and adding spacing with spot-up shooting.

On the flip side of the elite scoring matchup was Boyogueno. Although Sebi finished with an impressive 23 points, he had to work extremely hard on every possession. He is at his best when he can get straight to the rim, but the Dorman defense made him have to combine moves in order to make a play. Sebi was still pretty efficient on his shots and tallied 5 assists, but it wasn't nearly the dominant offensive showing that the Warriors need to get in big games.

Lassiter was one of the few Riverside role players who stepped up to provide Boyogueno with some help on Monday. He had three catch-and-shoot threes in the second half, all of which were crucial to keeping their offense afloat. But he also was impactful on the defensive end, matching up with both bigs and guards and holding up throughout the night. JJ's shooting and defensive playmaking were quite impressive, and it will earn him minutes in tight spots during a potential deep playoff run.
