Top Performers: E1T1 Invitational (Part 2)
The annual E1T1 Invitational took place this weekend at both The Big House and CPS Sportsplex.
There were teams from grades 4th-11th that filled the courts and fans were packed in to watch the event unfold.
Here is the second part of the top performers I watched this weekend in Orlando.
ICYMI:
James Repass (Providence/E1T1)
Standing at 6’10”, you’d think James Repass was a football player with his power and strength down low. The 2021 Providence big man worked off the bench for the Stallions this season but for E1T1 15U, he is the feature inside piece. He has a high ceiling with his dominant scoring ability.
Moussa Diabate (Florida Prep/Team Nightyrdas)
Seven offers have already come for the 2021 center with the latest two from Illinois and Tulane last month. Moussa Diabate, a long and skinny 6’9″ big man uses his body well to get by defenders and he has a jumper he can fall back on. Expect Diabate to have a huge summer for Team Nightrydas and boost his stock further.
CJ Walker (Orlando Christian Prep/E1T1)
It was a fun weekend for 2019 Orlando Christian Prep forward CJ Walker. He dominated with his athleticism as a dunker and is always a fan favorite. The 6’7″ forward settles for jumpers sometimes instead of taking the ball to the rack. He can be a legitimate scorer/slasher if he continues to fight for points inside. Being raw and gifted is not an issue with Walker.
Naseem Khaalid (First Coast/Game Elite)
Making his verbal commitment to FSU back in October, 2020 First Coast guard Naseem Khaalid is now just focused on basketball. Boy was he ever solid this weekend for Game Elite. He had a game winner in a 63-61 victory over Team Nightrydas on Saturday. The 6’2″ guard is a built and seasoned attacker who looks to score every time he touches the ball.
Cyrus Nance (Stranahan/Wade Elite)
A new addition to this Wade Elite group is 2019 Stranahan guard Cyrus Nance. He plays bigger than his 6’1″ frame which beckons the question of what position will he play at the next level? Regardless, he has a motor that few players can keep up with. His strength and will to fight for loose balls are key assets to his game.
