Third-Team All-State Team/Honorable Mentions
The season wrapped up in Lakeland where nine state champions were crowned.
Here is a look at the Third-Team All-State Team and some honorable mentions below that.
Kevon Godwin (Blountstown)
The senior Gulf Coast State commit scored 25 and 23 points apiece as Blountstown finished as the Class 1A state runner-up.
A’drelin Robinson (Florida A&M)
A freshman standout, Robinson netted 32 points in the 3A state semifinal loss to Orlando Christian Prep.
Ronaldo Segu (Orlando Christian Prep)
Segu, a senior Buffalo commit had 10 points in his team’s second straight title in a win over Canterbury.
Diante Smith (Choctaw)
Smith, a junior forward had 21 and 12 points in two tournament games. He is a big bodied forward who is knows how to play hard.
Noah Lippy (Creekside)
It was a big showing from Lippy who scored 27 points in the semifinal win over Winter Haven and 14 points in the final loss to Blanche Ely.
Drue Drinnon (University)
A senior New Mexico commit Drue Drinnon had 15 points in the championship game against Trinity Catholic. He is a savvy guard.
Anthony Byrd (Blanche Ely)
Blanche Ely plays team basketball and Anthony Byrd contributed with 21 and 14 points this week as the Tigers won the 8A title.
Antwaan Jones (Oak Ridge)
A 30-point showing from Jones came in the semifinal win over West Orange. He got into foul trouble in the championship win over Wellington. Jones is headed to Texas A&M this fall.
Chase Johnston (Westminster)
Johnston, a reliable 3-point shooter had 13 points in the championship win over Master’s. A junior, Johnston is in for a big summer.
Issad Solano (S.L.A.M.)
Solano, a junior guard had 28 points and 15 rebounds for his side in the semifinal loss to Westminster.
