Alex showed real competitiveness at the event that stood out to me. Denver East had the physical advantage and gave him different looks but he never backed down. He still looked like their best player and stayed aggressive as a scorer, and East's calling card is taking that away from them. He used his size and speed to get to his spots, mixed in creative finishes, and made the right reads. Even with defensive pressure focused on him, he produced. His mindset and toughness stood out as he was able to put up 17 points against them and was a constant throughout the event.

Davis set the tone early in the event, and that carried on throughout. In his game against Eaglecrest he was confident as a downhill scorer, and picked his spots with patience. He put up 15 points and put up double-digit scoring in each game. He hit tough shots and stayed steady as a scoring presence all game. Rock Canyon didn't need to run sets for him, but the ball naturally found him because of how he moves and reads defenses. He was a two-way impact guy who will be a key bucket-getter for them all season. It was great to see him in this setting to set up for that.

Cooper was one of the most consistent guards all weekend and looked to be Rock Canyon's best player at the event. He scored inside with floaters, had touch finishes, and crafty angles. He put up real pressure on defenses in transition, especially downhill and attacked guards. Against Horizon, he attacked gaps, lived at the free throw line, and never stopped applying force. He also put up 19 points against Eaglecrest and the effort was constant ,and that effort translated to easy points. He was a problem every game and if he's able to stick with this kind of play, Rock Canyon will be one of the favorites.

Tiden plays off instinct and feel, and we saw that throughout the event. He's quick, athletic, and scored creatively off the dribble. Tiden's ability to score from all three levels separates him. He can hit the 3, stop on a dime and score, or change speeds downhill for finishes. Tiden doesn't force possessions and just takes what the defense gives him. Against Columbine, he handled the ball, controlled pace, and still found scoring windows against a strong defense where he put up 15 points. He'll be one of the engines for West this year, especially with their guard-driven identity.

Jayden competes. That is something that cannot be taken away from him. He slashes, gets downhill, and answers the call regardless of the matchup. He plays above his size, battles defensively, and keeps South's energy steady. He's a catalyst for the team, and when he goes, they go. This weekend, he did a little of everything. He was finishing, creating advantages, and staying aggressive. He's been consistent and is due for more attention because his impact stretches beyond scoring.
