Here is what we had to say about Brown in our top performers breakdown following the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase…

Due to him playing up at the 15u level with Darius Garland Elite on the P32 Circuit this summer, and playing at the varsity level with Portage High School, we’ve seen this 6’0″ guard as much as any freshman in the state. However, that didn’t keep him from standing out on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Brown is a strong, physical guard that is really hard to stop when he gets downhill. He is a great finisher at the end of his drives, but also very capable as a shot-maker from the mid-range and out beyond the arc. Brown made a consistent impact defensively at the event as well.

Between his play with Darius Garland Elite 15u and at the varsity level with Portage High School in June we have already been able to see Brown quite a bit. He is, without a doubt, one of the more talented guards in Indiana’s Class of 2030. Look for him to step into a talented Portage backcourt and play a big role right away. Brown is a talented perimeter shot-maker and a very comfortable, confident driver. There is a lot to like about his game.

Portage returns a three-headed backcourt monster that all averaged in double-figures last season for a very good team. However, Brown has been able to add to that backcourt firepower this summer as an incoming freshman. The 6’0″ shot-maker is an impressive scorer with a lot of offensive talent.
