Another set of stock risers in our upcoming rankings resort for our 2027 class in Minnesota.

[player_tooltip player_id='2419839' first='Dre' last='Frierson-Hollie'] of Cretin-Derham Hall. Dre is a really interesting player to talk about. Listed at 6'5 and 235 pounds, Dre is physical force as an edge rusher/linebacker on the one side, and a pass catcher on the other side. Yes he's a football prospect and it seems like Minnesota has done some initial reach out. Basketball wise Frierson-Hollie has the agility and size to step in at forward and do some things that CDH will need: active scores off ball, rebound, defend good sized scorers. CDH lost their starting frontcourt but Frierson-Hollie appears to be a guy that should offset some of that loss.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126455' first='Peyton' last='Gholson'] of Rosemount. One player that I think is on the verge of a big breakout year is [player_tooltip player_id='2126455' first='Peyton' last='Gholson']. Scored over a dozen a game last year on an Irish team that actually won more than I thought they would, Peyton is their certain leader going forward. In reviewing the film there were three things that really stood out to me from time over the winter and spring: 1) I really liked the demeanor on the floor, 2) Peyton's hesitation into a first step ranks with one of the best I have seen lately and he constantly is catching players flat with that attack off the pause, and 3) not only does Peyton have a nice touch but he's a player that you see make shots with a quick release and it can come in small windows with some range.

[player_tooltip player_id='2416947' first='Ayden' last='Green'] of Minnehaha Academy. I am really interested to see this young man in his own environment running his own team. Green has been with Breck and Hoop Habits 16u who are very good teams that Green fit in well with, but those teams had so many good guards it was quality spurts. Now we get to see how Green runs the Hawks with a young, but talented group with growing expectations. Green's feel for the game especially his feel for the attack, and the way he delivers, I think it's really going to be big at Minnehaha.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140563' first='Brayden' last='Heiderscheidt'] of Sleepy Eye. Brayden is 6'3/6'4 and plays a lot of lead guard for both his high school team and he did for his 16u AAU team last spring/summer. Moves quite well at his size with good feet, feel, good lateral steps and he can really disrupt things with his anticipation, length and quickness. A quarterback on the football field, a point guard on the basketball court and can be used all over, and a guy that has quickness at his size with a frame that can add strength without messing with agility. Surely a prospect to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956268' first='Shay' last='Jackson'] of Totino-Grace. Shay has some rare items for a high school kid that I don't feel I see as much in young athletes and that would be: 1) seems/appears to be a real leader vocally that others follow which is a rare thing especially on a good AAU team with so many accomplished players, 2) has a real feel for the halfcourt game and setting up a team and looks for his offense at the right times with the right attacks, and 3) a true consistent impact ball pressure defender that can change the opponent's direction consistently throughout a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126465' first='Tommy' last='Schabert'] of Farmington. A year ago Tommy was playing behind a load of veterans as well as [player_tooltip player_id='2126447' first='Briggs' last='Sheridan'] so he had a reserve role but he played it well. This year..... he looks taller, longer, and will still be the strongest player on the floor in most games. I was really impressed with what he looked like production wise and physically in the Expo and I think a huge year is ahead for Schabert. At this size and mobility Tommy moves into a different conversation as a prospect, and I think you will see consistency in production from Tommy as well.
