2020’s Top Bigs
The class of 2020 is loaded with bigs in Northern California that are versatile and have a good skill set. With the evolution of the Power Forward and Center position, you are starting to see more bigs have guard like skill sets. The scary thing about the bigs in Northern California is that they are still young and could still possibly grow before they graduate high school. Here are the top bigs from the class of 2020 in Northern California.
Dishon Jackson – 6’9′ St Patrick-St. Vincent HS
Dishon has an excellent skill set and has great footwork. He moves well for his size and can even handle the ball. As he gets older he will have to work on his jumping ability, and controlling the paint by becoming more of a defensive presence but he is definitely a big time player.
Jhaylon Martinez – 6’10’ Vanden HS
Jhaylon is another skilled big man who can shoot and put it on the floor. Perhaps his most underrated skill set is his ability to pass out of double teams, and make outlet passes up the court similar to Kevin Love. Jhaylon still needs work with his feet and athleticism, but he still will be an excellent player.
Kendall Munson – 6’9′ Capital Christian HS
Munson has excellent footwork and runs the floor well. He is one of the top players in his class on the west-coast arguably the best big in Nor-Cal.
Coleman Hawkins – 6’7′ Antelope HS
Hawkins plays a little bit on the wing but also plays down-low. He has a good skill set and seems to be still growing. He should have a big summer and pick up a few division 1 offers.
