Which 2027 bigs can make their name at the Expo

We're less than a month out from the Expo at Gold Crown on Sunday, September 13th. This is your chance to test yourself against 2026 & 2027 talent from across the state as we all head out under one roof. (<a href="https://events.prephoops.com/e/1616/register/the-expo-colorado">Here</a>)      Tannahill is an up-and-coming big man that can stretch the floor and knock down the 3-ball, and that kind of spacing makes Banning Lewis a dangerous team. He is a great rebounder at 6'5 that uses his size and competes down low and that is while he's still coming into his body. He's getting stronger and more comfortable offensively as he uses his hands, keeps the ball high, and finishes well around the rim. He could use a big showcase to prove that he's a player to watch moving forward.     There are not many players Hoskins' size around the state, so he stands out when he is on the floor. He uses all of his 6'7 frame to get to his spots down low and finish. At Colorado Live, we got to see him in action for Liberty and certainly feel he is a player that should be on more radars. He's a bit raw but has a developing skillset offensively. He moves well for his size and has a good feel for which hand to finish with. Defensively, he alters shots at the rim, secures the ball in the air, and starts the break. We want to see more of him as he's a player that will continue to turn heads, but is a player we haven't seen too much of. Here's his opportunity.     Medina is a 6'8 paint protector with high upside and allows Rock Canyon to play big and plug the paint. He moves well around the high post, has soft touch, and finishes over the top. He also has a developing back-to-the-basket game that is opening up to be able to score down low on smaller defenders. We saw him have a couple of big moments this summer with easy dunks. He has overwhelming size, and when it all comes together for him I feel that he could be one of the top bigs in the state. Why not show it at the showcase on September 13th?     Overland is a team that plays extremely hard and is AT you for the entirety of the game. They have exceptional guard play and some tweeners that open things up for them with their versatility. Amongst those tweeters is Devan. DeVan is an athletic wing/forward who plays above the rim. He's a rim runner who dunks with ease and that was on display all summer. He grabs boards and can start the break, finishes well inside, and also competes on both ends of the floor. I'd like for Matias to come out and show all of the progression he's made as a player that should be on more radars. After a solid outing at the showcase, I believe that could be the case for us.     Lyle is a multi-sport athlete who has high upside, but now it is about putting it together and fulfilling those expectations. With his size and athleticism, and another year under his belt, it is time to take over. He has a 6'7 frame and knows how to make his way around the paint for finishes, but also keeps plays alive with his motor. He rebounds out of position, runs the floor for fast break dunks, and moves well. We want to see that on display at our showcase as we feel he can be one of the biggest difference-making bigs we have. Just has to show it and this is the place to.
