The 2028 class in Colorado is shaping up to be one of the deepest and most promising groups we've seen in recent years. With over 100 players being added to our watch list, narrowing it down to just 25 for the first official rankings has been no easy task. We've been diving into film, connecting with coaches, and evaluating performances from both the high school season and grassroots play. In this breakdown, we highlight a group of prospects who have already made an impact at the varsity level and are carrying that momentum into the summer. These players are forcing their way onto the radar.

For Creek, [player_tooltip player_id='2531912' first='Darian' last='Proctor'] was a spark plug that was inserted into games to bring energy and disrupt momentum. That role was valuable as a freshman, getting his feet wet. But with Tru Colorado, he truly shines. He's a high-IQ guard who plays under control, lets the game come to him, but also knows when to attack. He makes the extra pass, finishes through contact, and scores in bunches. What sets him apart is his defensive intensity; he picks up 90 feet, makes ball-handlers uncomfortable, and takes pride in making plays that don't always show up on the stat sheet. He's an unselfish standout who makes plays happen and is one of the toughest competitors of this bunch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2395544' first='David' last='Robinson']'s upside is evident the moment he steps on the court. His athleticism jumps out, and he uses his 6'3 frame well as a multi-positional defender. He's a capable scorer who finishes inside and creates for teammates, but it's his versatility on defense that sets the tone. When he's fully engaged mentally, there's very little that slows him down, but consistency will be key. Robinson has stretches where he dominates, but he'll need to bring that motor night in and night out as he takes on a larger role for GW this season. He's a breakout candidate to watch closely.

[player_tooltip player_id='2528300' first='Alphonso' last='McDonald'] is a combo guard who thrives with the ball in his hands. He's hard to contain as he's an above-average shooter with great touch around the rim and the ability to score from all three levels. He attacks isos confidently, uses his length well, and always looks ready for the moment. When he got opportunities for Denver South, he made the most of them in his freshman season. His feel for the game and improvement this summer suggest he's in for a major leap. Word is, he's been one of the most consistent standouts in the class, and we expect that buzz to carry over.

[player_tooltip player_id='2395383' first='Harper' last='Quesada'] checks so many boxes. He finishes with either hand, runs the floor fluidly, and has a back-to-the-basket game that's only getting sharper. He uses his length to finish through contact and make impact plays on both ends. What stands out is his anticipation on defense, especially in help-side situations for a loaded Titans team. His timing, instincts, and physical tools are already impressive, and once he bulks up and adds a more reliable perimeter game, he could become a dominant two-way presence. Harper's ceiling is high, and he's only scratching the surface of what he can be.

Brady Green might be small in stature, but he's as skilled as they come. He's a confident shooter who doesn't need much space to get a clean look and can break defenders down off the bounce. Whether it's pulling up with a hand in his face or keeping defenders guessing with crafty ball-handling, Green is constantly looking to make something happen. He plays with edge, and he's fearless no matter who's guarding him. As he continues to grow physically and improve his playmaking, he has the tools to become a major scoring threat who forces defenses to adjust early. Big year for him as he's a must-watch guard!

If you're getting varsity minutes as a freshman at Rangeview, that already says a lot. While [player_tooltip player_id='2381957' first='Dario' last='Washington'] saw limited time, it gave him valuable experience on one of the top teams in the state. That year helped lay the groundwork for what's to come. He's a confident, aggressive scorer who looks to get going the moment he steps on the floor. He's a microwave-type guard who can create his own shot and bring energy on both ends. In AAU play, he's started to expand his game adding playmaking and defensive consistency. He's one to watch heading into Year 2 and is a player who should remain among the top of the class throughout the years, as I expect plenty of team success throughout his high school career.
