#160 –> #130 (+30)
Brown, another 6-foot-4 guard, is one of the better shooters in the entire NEPSAC. The lefty has a nice-looking stroke and is able to consistently hit shots while on the move or in catch and shoot situations. He’s also a very solid cutter who understands how to space the floor, how to read screens, and how to always be ready on the catch. He also defends his position very well and is feisty. Why do I think Brown will continue to rise? He plays for a Cheshire squad that plays excellent offensive basketball, and he fits into everything they try to do. He knows his role, he excels in it, and he’s only going to continue getting stronger and more athletic. Trinity is getting a steal.

Brown, a guard out of Cheshire Academy, did a nice job of helping his team with quality decision making on both ends of the floor. The 6’3″ guard shows a high level feel for the game offensively, moves well without the basketball, is an instinctive cutter, and can make shots at a high rate in catch and shoot situations. He can operate as a scorer or decision maker with the ball in his hands, shows the ability to guard either back-court spot with his length, and even has the ability to make an impact on the defensive glass as a rebounder in space and in traffic.

Brown didn’t handle the ball too much for Crown but did such a good job as a floor spacer and ball mover. The 6-foot-4 lefty absolutely strokes it from three and has a super quick release, but he also attacks closeouts decisively and quickly whenever the defense is sprinting out to him. Additionally, despite his skinny frame, he does a good job sliding his feet and is tough when it comes to bodying up against bigger offensive players. If Brown could put on 15 pounds of muscle, his college outlook would totally change – but right now, he’s probably a really high level D3 player or perhaps a D2 guy. Crown head coach told me he’s one of the best shooters he’s ever coached, and I don’t doubt it.
