He is a developing stretch-4 prospect with tremendous size and great hands. In his senior season Green popped triples at a 45% clip and drained 63 threes. Green can also slide to the point guard spot and operate as a poised floor general. In 2024-25 Rines was a starter and key contributor for a UD squad that won 28 straight games and captured their Suburban One League division title as well as the District 1-5A championship. As a senior he averaged 18 ppg., 7.8 rpg. and 3 apg. while leading HGP to a runner up finish in the District 1-5A tournament. Last week Varella announced that he had committed to Misericordia University (D3).
