#PHTwinCitiesTakedown: South Dakota Hoopers

I was stationed to cover the younger group, covering the 14U-11U teams, but I was able to pop in and catch some of the upper group of South Dakota teams a couple games. He's quicker and more explosive than I thought. He's a two-way guard that is an intense defender on the ball, beating his matchup to their spot and giving them no space to operate. He used his length and strong frame and physical playstyle in Minneapolis. Stevenson was a wrecking ball in transition using his athleticism to finish at the hoop. Showed off his midrange arsenal as well. He was a clear go-to scorer for them and they relied on him to make things happen and score the ball. He did just that, with some high scoring outputs and scoring sprees. He was scoring from everywhere and making high-level plays. Elite two-way ability. He's so fluid and explosive on the defensive end. He's got a full package of length, fluidity, and shooting ability. I'd challenge him to demand the ball at times to stay in an offensive rhythm. He was aggressive on the boards and showed high level and high effort defending the ball for a 6'5” prospect.
