HM [player_tooltip player_id='2470580' first='Elijah' last='Simpkins']
[player_tooltip player_id='2470580' first='Elijah' last='Simpkins'] is a guy to watch for Bishop Ireton. He plays both guard positions well and is a knockdown shooter. He is a smart player who does a great job consistently making the right play, whether that's attacking the rim or making the right pass.

HM Matthew Mena
A lot of talented players will sometimes get lost because of all the talent on this PVI roster. Matt carved out a nice role in his first season on PVI. Matt was a floor stretcher for this PVI team and a nice pick-and-pop option. He rebounded well and is always solid in the interior defensively. Matt can also get a bucket as an interior scorer with his strength and touch around the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353624' first='Jeremiah' last='Stanford'] is another transfer who impressed in his first year. I watched Jeremiah at Stone Bridge last year, and you could see although he was raw he was wildly talented. Jeremiah has cleaned up his game, and he makes the right decision as a passer a lot now. He is very quick and does a great job getting to the rim. Jeremiah is a true three-level scorer and averaged 14.5 PPG.

[player_tooltip player_id='2470596' first='Ben' last='Edmonds'] was outstanding for Episcopal this season. Ben is a terrific passer and someone you trust to handle the ball the large chunk of a game. Ben is a fantastic driver with his quickness and crafty finishing ability. He has a nice handle and often uses a step back to create space to get his shot off. He knocks down shots from the mid-range and from three, and he finished the year averaging 16.2 PPG. He was an All-IAC selection as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2470549' first='Makel' last='Minor'] had a terrific year in his first year on Bishop O'Connell. Makel played in a backcourt with [player_tooltip player_id='2252287' first='Darius' last='Bivins'] this year, and although they are both smaller guards, Makel being a natural scorer made it work really well. Makel has an elite handle and uses it to create space with his elite jump shot, and can give you 30 any night. Makel plays either guard position well, but again he is truly gifted when he's focusing on scoring.

McLean transfer [player_tooltip player_id='2353646' first='Simas' last='Kacerauskas'] was a great fit at Episcopal this season. Simas is a terrific driver, and at his size, he is incredibly difficult to stop when he's attacking the rim. Simas driving ability sets up his passing as well. Simas has an excellent motor, and he does an outstanding job on the glass. Simas is an elite defender who guards multiple positions. The mix of size and effort raises the floor for a defender by a lot, but he also possesses the IQ and instincts to be elite defensively. He averaged 11 PPG, 11.4 RPG, and 2.4 BPG. He was an All-IAC selection.

Beau Daniels was a huge interior presence for PVI in his first year there. He is as physically developed as you could imagine for a Sophomore, and he is a superb athlete. There are a couple of archetypes for bigs that teams look for at the next level and onto the NBA. If you aren't able to consistently make shots from three, then what Beau Daniels does is the other valuable skillset. Daniels protects the rim and is an excellent interior defender who is supremely physical. He works extremely hard on the glass on both ends and is someone who will be a great roller.
