We don't do a lot of single game reports here at Prep Hoops Indiana. Even though we attend a ton of games, we generally like to pool together information from all across the state in order to provide the most in-depth coverage possible. However, for two different reasons, we are rolling out an old-fashioned single game report for this one. First of all, there isn't much else going on this Wednesday evening. Secondly, this matchup is that big of a deal. Jeffersonville and New Albany are bitter rivals down along the Ohio River that also battle for supremacy in the Hoosier Hills Conference and Sectional 15. On Wednesday night, round one went convincingly to Jeffersonville.

Cooper, Douglas, and Singleton get a lot of the attention when discussing Jeffersonville's super special senior class. However, this guard has some real game as well. Boyd knocked in a pair of three-point shots in the second quarter as the Red Devils started to pull away and then added a couple of more buckets late to help seal the deal. He finished with 11 points on the evening. Under appreciated senior guard for this Class 4A Top 10 Jeffersonville squad.

It was a summer to remember for this Jeffersonville guard. From a breakout performance at the Charlie Hughes Showcase in June to a spectacular month of July, Cooper quickly went from no offers to several Division I opportunities before ultimately deciding to sign with Wright State. He was dominant on the perimeter against New Albany making tough shot after tough shot off of the dribble. Cooper finished with 29 points to lead all scorers while connecting on five three-point shots.

Similar to Cooper, it was an incredible spring and summer for this 6'8" forward from Jeffersonville. First, the low and mid-major offers came rolling in. Then, by the end of July, he he had a handful of high-major programs to choose from. Singleton opted to sign with Northwestern. Now, after returning from injury, he has been a big part of Jeffersonville's recent seven game winning streak culminating in Wednesday night's 78-59 win over New Albany. He finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists.

An under-the-radar senior guard for New Albany, Treat didn't put up huge numbers on Wednesday night but has had a strong season for the Bulldogs. He is the catalyst of a lot of what they do offensively with impressive court vision and playmaking ability. Treat finished with 7 points and a handful of assists, but has an even bigger impact than that on both ends of the court. An unsigned senior guard for small college programs to keep on their radar.

Washington is certainly the freshman in the state of Indiana with the most hype and will be the #1 prospect in the Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings when they debut here at Prep Hoops Indiana in a few weeks. On Wednesday night the 6'5" freshman showed why he is such a special prospect. Washington connected on five three-point shots while showcasing his impressive length and athleticism on the glass as well. He finished with 21 points to lead New Albany along with 6 rebounds. Playing against a Top 10 team in the state featuring multiple Division I players, it was a very impressive performance for Washington.

This Washington for New Albany has flown under the radar but is definitely a guard worth following in southern Indiana in the Class of 2026. He played very well against Jeffersonville on Wednesday night knocking in some tough catch-and-shoot three-point shots, showcasing some quickness off of the bounce, and displaying his all-around playmaking ability. Washington finished with 16 points in the loss for the Bulldogs.
