Preseason All-State: Division 5

The four-year varsity performer shared Player of the Year laurels in the Central Wisconsin South with teammate TJ Lamb. Also an accomplished football player, Phillips looks to carry the Eagles in 2024-25 with his inside presence. He is a great finisher around the basket and a premier rebounder for first-year coach Keith Dernbach. Phillips averaged 24.2 points and 11.5 rebounds while helping Almond-Bancroft to a 19-7 record. He worked hard over the off season to expand his game and now the 6-foot-2 wing guard is a more complete player. His perimeter shot remains a work in progress, but his mid-range game and passing ability have improved, and his leadership for a Pacelli team looking to unseat Almond-Bancroft as the Central Wisconsin South champion, is a big plus for the Cardinals. The son of Pacelli coach John Schurk, [player_tooltip player_id='2388795' first='Camden' last='Schurk'] is a four-year varsity player for the Cardinals who could become the school's all-time leading scorer this winter. He can guard. He can rebound. He can score. He can pass. And he makes smart decisions with the game on the line. Uppena's versatility and productivity helped Royall to a 25-3 record and the Scenic Bluffs title last season. He averaged 15.7 points and 5.8 rebounds and is one of four returning regulars for a team expected to contend for the league crown once again and make noise on the state level in Division 5. Munson's ability to control a game with his ball handling, passing, shooting and decision making is a huge asset for the Trojans and coach Chris Wettstein. Coming off a junior season in which he averaged 15.4 points and 5.4 rebounds, Munson is one of four starters back for North Crawford along with [player_tooltip player_id='2424246' first='Cullen' last='Jacobus'] (5-10), [player_tooltip player_id='2634874' first='Carter' last='Emler'] (6-0) and [player_tooltip player_id='2634881' first='Landen' last='Blaha'] (6-0). His size and skill are positives for coach Jeremy Hanson's squad. A year ago, Paul averaged 19.6 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists as Alma Center Lincoln finished 22-5. A two-time first-team all-Dairyland Conference performer, Paul dropped a career-high 32 points in a playoff win over Port Edwards last season.
