Schurk capped off his high school career as Pacelli’s leading scorer and floor general. The 6’0″ senior averaged 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. His season high came in a 34-point performance against Rosholt, where he hit five three-pointers. This marked an increase from his junior year scoring average of 15 points a game. Schurk was also recognized as one of the conference’s top perimeter shooters. His leadership and all-around play earned him a First Team nod in the conference.

Schurk’s athleticism, particularly his verticality, is impressive and helps him score in the lane and snare rebounds. He worked hard over the off season to expand his game and now the 6-foot-2 wing guard is a more complete player. His perimeter shot remains a work in progress, but his mid-range game and passing ability have improved, and his leadership for a Pacelli team looking to unseat Almond-Bancroft as the Central Wisconsin South champion, is a big plus for the Cardinals. Schurk is a two-time first-team all-league choice in the Central Wisconsin East Conference and the son of Pacelli coach, John Schurk. An athletic wing prospect with outstanding elevation on drives to the basket, Schurk is a bit unorthodox in how he gets baskets. But somehow, he finds a way with his creative moves and athleticism around the basket. He had a strong junior season, leading Pacelli to a 19-8 record by averaging 20.0 points and 6.0 rebounds. Schurk can develop into an outstanding defender due to his length, quickness, verticality and basketball awareness. He has a chance to become Pacelli’s all-time leading scorer this winter and begins his final year of prep basketball with 1,185 career points.
